Das "Maniacs of Rock" Festival ist das ehrenamtlich organisierte Festival der Metal Maniacs Ebnat, dem ersten eingetragenen Heavy Metal Verein im Ostalbkreis!!
Entstanden ist das Festival im Jahr 2006 als ein "Tribute to the Monsters of Rock" Event!! Mit eigenständigen lokalen Bands und einer Auswahl an internationalen Tributebands wollte man an die legendären "Monsters of Rock" Festivals in den 80er Jahren erinnern. Das Festival erfreute sich großer Beliebtheit und stand zu jeder Zeit unter dem Motto: Von Fans für Fans!!
Und daran wird sich auch im Jahr 2010 nichts ändern!
Jedoch wird sich dennoch einiges ändern und das Maniacs of Rock wird im Jahr 2010 im völlig neuen Gewand aufwarten!
Das Festival findet zum ersten Mal nicht mehr im Festzelt in Aalen-Ebnat statt, sondern auf dem Gelände des Wagnershofs in Ellwangen!
Das neue Gelände ist nur 25km vom Alten entfernt und liegt ebenfalls direkt an der A7! Es ist wieder komplett überdacht, so das uns das Wetter nichts anhaben kann - dennoch kommt ein Open-Air-Feeling auf, da das Gelände ringsrum offen ist!
Absofort gibt es die Tickets für das Maniacs of Rock 2010 bei über 1000 VVK-Stellen im ganzen Land!!!

TANKARD
Muss man zu dieser Band überaupt noch was sagen? Eigentlich nicht! TANKARD IST KULT! 1984 erblickte TANKARDs erste Demo "Heavy Metal Vanguard" das Licht der Welt, ein Jahr später begründen sie mit der "Alcoholic Metal" Demo sogar ihren eigenen Stil. Und nun, nach über 25 Jahren Bandgeschichte und 14 veröffentlichen Alben, können die "Kings of Beer" auf unzählige Konzerte zurückblicken, haben auf allen großen Festivals (wie z.B. Wacken-Open-Air, Summer Breeze, Bang your head, Party.San, Metal-Camp, Queens of Metal uvm) gespielt und sind sogar beim DFB-Pokal-Finale im Berliner Olympiastadion, als Support für ihre Frankfurter Eintracht aufgetreten. Ihr Song "Empty Tankard" zählt wol zu den absoluten "All-time-classics" und darf auf keiner Metalparty fehlen.

METAL-MARKT, SCHLAFHALLE, BÜHNENMODERATION
Wie schon in den vergangenen Jahren, wird es auch dieses Jahr wieder einen großen Metal-Markt von HOZ-Records auf dem Maniacs of Rock geben. CDs, DVDs, TShirts, Pullis, Caps - alles was das Metalherz begehrt! Ihr könnt Euch auf der Homepage von HOZ schon mal ein Bild davon machen, was es am MoR alles geben wird: http://www.hoz-records.de
Da wir leider keinen Campingplatz anbieten können, haben wir beschlossen Euch eine Schlafhalle direkt am Gelände anzubieten. Der Schlafhallenplatz kostet nur 2 Euro und beinhaltet sogar ein Frühstück am Sonntag! Anmelden für die Schlafhalle könnt ihr Euch unter metal-maniacs@web.de. Bezahlen müsst ihr dann vorort an der Abendkasse, dort erhaltet ihr auch Eure Schlafhallen-Tickets! Der Platz ist begrenzt, also haltet Euch ran!
Die Bühnenmoderation wird Radiomoderator "IngeF" vom Radio Sthoerfunk übernehmen!!

Final Faith gewinnen den "Battle of the local heroes"
Die Heidenheimer Death/Black/Thrash-Formation "FINAL FAITH" hat am letzten Samstag mit einem eindeutigen Vorsprung
den "Battle of the local heroes" gewonnen und wird nun das "Maniacs of Rock" Festival am 15.05.2010 in Ellwangen eröffnen!
Die Platzierungen waren wie folgt:
1. Final Faith (456 Stimmen)
2. Parasite Inc. (390 Stimmen)
3. Pissdolls (319 Stimmen)
Nun steht also die letzte Band für den 15.05. fest... die Vorbereitungen laufen auf Hochtouren!
